In the returnee student entrance examinations, with the exception of some science universities and faculties, and universities and faculties that require modern literature and essays, there are no departmental examinations, and academic achievement is often measured by high school GPA, so it is important to maintain excellent grades at your local high school. If you are having difficulty keeping up in class or struggling with homework, it is necessary to overcome your difficulties early in the process and prepare for the Provincial Exams.
Therefore, in order to supplement your regular school lessons and homework and to help you prepare efficiently for regular tests, CGEC can introduce you to competent teachers as tutors. It is also possible to specify teachers who can provide some explanations in Japanese.
The SAT, widely known as an entrance requirement for American universities, consists of Reading and Writing in English and mathematics questions up to G11 level, and takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. Since it is a common entrance examination requirement for most U.S. universities, it can be said to be similar to the National Center Test in Japan. The Reading and Writing tests are designed for native English speakers, so special preparation is often required for international students, and in most cases, at least six months to a year of preparation is required.
In recent years, some Japanese universities, such as Keio University and the University of Tokyo, require SAT scores, and CGEC can introduce you to native Canadian tutors with extensive SAT teaching experience. Students can study at home on weekday evenings, making it possible to prepare for the SAT while also studying at school.
